The mechanical contract consisted of the complete refurbishment / replacement of the existing mechanical services system including DDA upgrade.

This work involved the following:

• New fully ducted air conditioning system to serve the main star theatre and exhibition areas.
• Close control air conditioning and back up unit installation within the main equipment store.
• New boilerhouse installation inclusive bunded oil tank and full BEMS control.
• New DDA toilets.
• Sanitary ware replacement and new plumbing services.
• LPHW pipework and radiators within offices and general public areas.
• Split A/C systems within office areas.
• New toilet extract fan/ductwork installation.

The complete project now provides state of the art facilities for all personnel with an interest in the universe and space travel.
