Refurbishment of Dundonald House, Stormont Estate

Details:

Dundonald House houses key government departments and provides the main power supply to Parliament Buildings and other buildings on the Stormont Estate. Due to severe flood damage, an extensive refurbishment and repair of was implemented at short notice. 

Works included:

• Replacement of existing boiler house plant in the basement area included changeover from oil to gas operation
• Replacement of existing flues through 11 floors from boiler location to termination point
• Associated upgrading of gas detection systems to all gas appliances in the boiler house and kitchens.

An intensive works programme combined with a fully integrated approach ensured that normal services successfully resumed within the shortest possible timeframe.
